Sound familiar?

If any of this sounds familiar, you're in the right place.

A grade has stalled, and the school doesn't seem to be moving them.

They've decided they're "just bad at English," and lost confidence.

An important exam is coming, and you want them ready.

They have dyslexia or another learning need and have to be taught their way.

They've lost their love of reading, and you're not sure how to change that.

You don't have to fix this on your own. One patient tutor, a plan built around what your child actually finds difficult, and steady weekly work will move things further than you might expect.

Meet your tutor

Meet James, your tutor, from the first lesson to the last.

I am a qualified teacher and former Head of English, with over a decade in the classroom and experience marking for major exam boards. My teaching style is calm and purposeful, which tends to suit students who have lost confidence or find English difficult. Every lesson is planned and taught by me, never handed to anyone else.
